Nostalgy++/ Manage, search and archive emails

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

thanks a lot for this useful addon!
Also dark mode works for me, even if it is looking strange while configuring. Switching to light mode is done quickly to configure nostalgy++.

Main function of handling messages is there in v4.10 and working!
Thanks!

Move messages or yourself

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Dear arjenbva,
first of all thank you very much for putting the effort into creating this extension!
It is working great!!

Since the recent TB update, I'm on v115.9.0., I have the following problem:

When I try to move a message to a folder it is no more showing the path, only the folder itself.
For example:
I have several folders which all have a subfolder called "logs".
When I try to move a message to "logs" I'm not able to distinguish which folder it actually is.

May I ask you to look into your code and update it?

I'm not able to do it, otherwise I would contribute on github.

Cheers

Great Add-On, thanks a lot!

I'd like to mention, that I have found a bug:

while trying to move a message to a folder, that is unique within the folder structure, it gets stuck showing the actual folder + the search query.
I'll try to expain using an example:
I want to move an email to the folder "test", while there are no similar folders available to be shown as alternative search results.

I hit "alt + q"

and end up with a search result showing up like

"test >> [email protected]/inbox/test"

I'm not able to use the arrow keys to select the search result, as the result + search query take up the line.

After removing the string

"test >> "

through highlighting + delete and hit enter, nostalgy++ moves the email correctly.

Sometimes, when I remember, that I'm moving to a unique folder, typing slowly + using "arrow down" helps.

Earlier versions worked flawlessly, which means, the search query did rest in a line above the actual recommended folder, so I was able to use the "arrow down" key to select the search result, even if it was only one folder.

Cheers

Quick Folder Move

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Umschalt-K -> copy-to-folder.
Es wäre toll, wenn die Tastatur Shortcuts anpassbar wären.
Gruß

great! I don't want to miss it on daily "email -to-folder-pushing"! I'm not using the mouse anymore to sort my mails. thank you very much!

great! thx a lot.

at first, setting a root for default moving was confusing. just to let everybody know: defining this is optional.

I love the workflow:
1.keyboard shortcut
2. start typing and the addequate folders start to appear, with the ability to use the arrow keys to navigate through the hits.
it's like using macs or windows search bar! very handy and soooo small!
