My Reviews

Youtube MP3 Podcaster

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Before the latest update I was able to fast-download 1h50m long podcast [about 170MB file size] and covert it to MP3 [this process takes 2-4m] After updating the latest version download speed crawl down to 20+ Kb/s

*Download are started by pressing the MP3 button. Debug is not turned on. Volume control is not turned on.

Could this be an issue with the addon itself of has YouTube set to truly enforce their do not download policy?

Other than this issue, this is a great addon, I consider it to be the best of its kind.

Thunderbird Conversations

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Update [2/11/2013]
My mistake. It's just that out of the box Thunderbird is great but Thunderbird Conversations is what makes it Outstanding!

Thanks for taking the time to clarify this =)

------------------
Why isn't the latest version of this add-on compatible with the latest version of Thunderbird?I'm running Thunderbird v17.0.2 [the latest stable version of TB] yet the latest version of Thunderbird Conversations is only compatible with Thunderbird v19.0 - 21.0 and above.

Youtube MP3 Podcaster

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

UPDATE: It works!!. The developer hit it right on the nail. Between the new Firefox menu button & me being used to finding addon's options by going going to "Extension" it never occurred to me to check under the Tool menu for the YoutubeMP3Podcaster addon options. Thank you very much Jeremy.

I used to love this addons, best of its kind, no doubt. Now after the recent two updates converting to mp3 is very poor, lots of skips and electronic like pitches, very weird. I no longer see a way to access the addon options to calibrate the file quality [e.g. as shown on the preview images on this page] Please fix this. The one thing I'm glad to see gone is the animated image waving back at you. Please

Gmail Manager

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It is sad to see that the developer of Gmail Manager has failed to release an official update for it. Has he given up on Gmail manager?

Gmail Manager

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This used to be an outstanding Firefox addon. Now since the latest gmail update, it has become completely useless.

When it does report the arrival of new emails to my inboxes, it fails to log me in. It only takes me to the main gmail page and inserts my email in the user box line and leaves the password box empty.

When it fails to check for emails, Gmail Manager is able to log me in.

Before, way back when the add-on was first introduced to the Firefox add-on community, Gmail Manager was able to let you know when you had entered the wrong password when signing on to your account by leaving the Gmail Icon gray. [for those like me who don't like to save the password] now if you fail to enter the right password, the Gmail Icons becomes red as if you had been signed-on but have no email. -- I would love to see this Gmail Manager feature come back.

Anyways, for now I just pray for a fix since every other Gmail checker is worst or just as broken as this one.
