hello,
I'm very happy after using this add on it keeps me notifying that my important mail is arrived. Before i've installed this add on i was so confused about my email priorites as i'm getting lots of email during my JOB. I'm a Software Engineer and have to deal with client all the time during the job. And also internal communication is also going on through. So, It helps me a lot to filter out visualy by seeing only Colors, not name of the persons. It helps me a lot. Thank You

At last I can change the color of my folder icons in Thunderbird. Now I can make Thunderbird feel at home on my Kubuntu system. There are a lot of colors to choose from but I miss the olive color.

Hello, I realy like this extension, I'm waiting for it for a long time. Now, to be perfect, I want to know if it's possible to add the selection of a personal icon (favicons for exemple) in the context menu.

Thanks a lot for your work.

This one doesn't work anymore on Linux (Kubuntu 11.10 64bits & TB 9.0)...

In fact, after uninstalling it and reinstall, this works again, but my previous color are lost.

I loved this but like Paras, I too lost all the colors on the updates and it no longer works. I uninstalled it.

I have been using this add on. it is good, or should I say, it was good. But, after latest relase TB9.01, all folders colored automatically get turned to default. and even i can see the color option, but it become inactive. If I re install the add on, it works, but after some time, it repeat the problem.
I think, this add on is fully compatible with the latest version of TB 9.0.1

pour s'y retrouver plus rapidement dans les nombreux dossiers de mails.
Le seul petit soucis est que lorsque l'on transfère le profil de TB 7.01 sur un autre ordinateur les couleurs se perdent. Sinon super... Merci

I really like Color Folders - this is something I have been looking for in recent months.

I do have a problem (similar to one another user is having) - I am also using Thunderbird Portable - TB 7.0.1 which is installed on a USB Flash Drive. I assigned colors to various folders when I was using the Flash Drive with my Laptop computer. When I use the Flash Drive with my Desktop computer - the colors no longer show on the folders. All folders are the default color. When I again use the Flash Drive with my Laptop - the folder colors show fine. I then assigned a color to one folder when I was using the Desktop computer - this particular color does not show when I use TB Portable with my Laptop. I saw your reply about colors stored in msf files but I don't know enough about these files (where to find them? and where to copy them if necessary?) to attempt to fix the problem.

One request - I would really like it if special folders - 'Archives' in particular - could be 'colored'. Thanks kindly.

I like this idea, such a feature is very useful.
Giving four stars, only because colored icons are not used simultaneously on tab bar.
Is it possible to submit translation (Czech language)?

Although 'More Colours' appears in the Context menu, only the colors in the base menu can actually be applied. TBird 6.0.2, Windoze 7 Pro 64-bit.

In reply to the developer, no other extensions are installed.

Mmmm. Your environment is exactly the same as mine -- Win7 pro 64bit + TB6.0.2. It is working as you see in the screen shot. I trust you have clicked one of colors in color picker palette. The issue could be conflict with other extention. What does happen if you only have Color Folders enabled in your extentions?

Unfortunately I have no Mac around me which makes investigation difficult. I am doing research using G**gle if there is any difference between TB for Mac and TB for Win with regard to menu icons.

Leider funktioniert das Add-On bei mir nicht in Thunderbird 6.0.2..Die Funktion wird bei den Ordner zwar angezeigt, ist aber blass und kann nicht ausgewählt werden. Schade.

Color Folders is working with my TB 6.0.2 (Win7).
Might you be on one of those Linuces with Gnome (like Ubuntu)? If so, use gconf-editor to turn on desktop \ gnome \ interface \ menus have icons.
This is one of "minor cosmetic issues on Linux" I mentioned as known issue.

I copy the entire Thunderbird directory. Are the colors stored in the registry?

Colors are stored in .msf files.
Thunderbird portable might overwrite .msf files when it detected mbox files updated. Let me look at that when I have time in a few weeks time.

Very nice and useful ...but I don't have the "More Colors" entry available. Wonder why.

"More Colors" is available from v1.0 which I uploaded today and is awaiting Mozilla review. Please try it should you feel comfortable with its status: "not yet reviewed".
