This is a good extension and needs to be updated to a newer version for Thunderbird compatibility

This valueable addon needs an update to Thunderbird 68.
(As all spam reporting addons I know of, they're all incompatible now).

Very useful add-on. Please consider making the following improvements.

1) Do not use a space before a semicolon in the preferences. This is more minimalistic and is the convention in Thunderbird's GUI.

2) In preferences under the input field called "Spam detector:" add the help text "For SpamAssassin use X-Spam-Flag: YES" This will help users this add-on more quickly for SpamAssassin.

3) Add to preferences an option called "Short name on buttons" with a checkbox which is be default is unchecked. When checked, please use the following names on the buttons "Report spam" and "Report not spam". This will offer more serious buttons (without having to know what ham is) which also use less space in the GUI.

4) Align the Apply and Cancel buttons to the right in the preferences and use more verical space between the preferences and these buttons. This is looks less cramped and is the convention in Thunderbird's GUI.

5) Increase the thickness of the lines in the icon (of the add-on and the buttons) with the red arrow. This will make the arrow more visible and better blend in with the icons on the other buttons.

Looking forward to future releases of this add-on.

Works well but needs some improvement.

It adds 2 buttons to the toolbar for reading messages: Report Spam & Report Phishing. However, on one of my computers the buttons do not appear, and I have to right-click the message and select the appropriate choice from a context menu.

Most annoying, lots of spam has already been reported, and the spam-reporting service I use blocks incoming spam. So when I go to report something as spam, the add-on forwards the spam-laden message to the reporting service, but more often than not it's kicked back to me with a "could not deliver" message.

Lastly, today I made a mistake and accidentally pressed the "Report as Spam" button instead of the "Forward" button. There's no obvious way to fix this and whitelist the sender of the message. Furthermore, I can't find an email address for the app's author, so there seems to be no way to find out about this.

When the add-on works, it's outstanding. These few glitches are a classic case of what makes non-commercial software unpolished.

It's called "Report Spam" but talks about anti-spam errors? Which means what? What is an anti-spam error. It sounds more like complaining about some other addon, rather than being one that reports the Spam. And it apparently sends the spams to "Renater" but there's no clue what happens then, compared to say "Spamcop". What does "Renater" do with it? Does it pick up the headers? Is it actually doing anything useful?

This does exactly what I need. I want to forward spam messages as attachments and send them to the IT-abuse reporting address of my employer. This add-on adds a choice in the right-click menu to do exactly that.

One annoying thing about this add-on is that the reporting buttons are right next to the reply button. I am afraid that I may inadvertently click report as spam or phishing instead of replying to the email message. Since there is no confirmation box that comes up (and I would not want one anyway) I may end up inadvertently marking a legitimate message as spam.

This could be fixed with an update I guess.

It goes in to the adds on however there is no "A new button is added to header tool bar" so yet another useful add on broken am getting aggravated, don't any add ons work for Thunderbird?!

hah, they keep telling me not to submit a bug report, but there is simply no place to submit a bug report. so here is one:

i can't make it detect if something is already classified as spam. in the config i give:
X-Spam-Flag: YES
at "Spam detector", however, it does not recognize the header. (this is spamassassin's default spam marker header.)

one more misgiving: once you've classified a message as spam or ham (i don't know about the latter, i haven't yet had the chance to see the button, see above why), you can't backtrack. it would be nice to have an option to reclassify.

btw, moving to an IMAP folder doesn't work either. even though i chose my SPAM folder as the destination, it doesn't stick -- next time i'm bringing up the config box it doesn't display my choice, like it forgets.

Sadly, this is useless. No clue as to how to customize for my provider.
