I tried CardBook, TbSync with; TbSync-4-Google and Provider CalDAV & CardDAV two years ago. It looked as if Thunderbird was going to sort out there address book making all these add-ons redundant. This has not happened and of all of those I list only CardBook runs and now seems to work well, I have not done much with it but now it is very good.

The significant thing is that TB Address-books do not synchronise lists or as Google call them labels whereas CardBook does.

Worked well in the past, but now, after the latest updates: 1) randomly loses all my O365 calendars (I have redownloaded/synchronised them over the last week like 4 times), and now 2) completely messed up one of my calendars with yearly recurring events (birthdays), moved them all to completely different dates.

Thanks for the update to latest Thunderbird 115.x and together with Provider for EAS it works fantastic, tried it with one of my old @live.at accounts that belong to outlook.com Contact and Calendar sync works fine. Now Thunderbird really is an universal communications tool that finally again supports Microsoft EAS for contacts/calendars. again tnx for the update!

Old and outdated.
This addon doesn't work with Thunderbird anymore (115.1)

Very usefull tool, but unfortunately, it is not working with the newest version of Thunderbird (115). Really looking forward for an update in the near future!

It works, but only one way. :(

It will update contacts from Google account to Thunderbird, but if you edit them and try to sync to Google, it will restore old data from Google account and erase edits done in Thunderbird. :( :( :(

No idea how to fix this...

This is TbSync, the manager UI, it does not sync. Please remove this review and add it to the sync provider you are using. Probably google-4-tbsync.

Fonctionnait avant, mais maintenant en tentant d'ajouter le compte Google, il y a une fenêtre émergente d'erreur à propos d'OAuth.

Great add-on, using it for synchronizing my Google contacts in TB. With the provided detailed instructions set-up can be done easily. Also very fast. Running version 4.3 on TB 102.6.1. Thanks for the support.

Das Adressbuch für meine [email protected] wird leider nicht mehr korrekt synchronisiert seit dem letzten Update:
- In Thunderbird neu erstellte Adressen erscheinen plötzlich doppelt nach der Synchronisation mit dem Email-Center von T-Online.
- Auch stimmen die Labels der Rufnummern (Telefon, Fax,...) und E-Mail-Adressen (privat,dienstlich,...) nach der Synchronisation mit dem Email-Center von T-Online nicht immer überein.

Diese oben beschriebenen Fehler treten allerdings nicht bei meinem Adressbuch für meine [email protected] auf! Da werden alle Adressen fehlerfrei zwischen Thunderbird und dem Email-Center von GMX synchronisiert!

It works very well.

Since Office365 moved to OAuth2 ("Modern Authentication"), I had to remove the existing Office 365 account and re-add it. This worked and now my calendars are syncing once again.

Removing calendars did not work: I needed to remove the account in the TBSync account manager and re-add it.

Thanks very much for this add-on. It works very fine.
Just one question : since yesterday, it can not connect to my Exchange account (says that login and/or password are wrong, which are not). Maybe it's a problem on the Microsoft side. Thanks again.

Connecting to my mail reader thunderbird this morning, I discovered that tbsyn was back and active ! I waited this moment for months. In fact, the plugin was declared incompatible and, thus, deactivated when thunderbird reached version number 102 earlier this year. Now, tbsync returns fully compatible. Thank you to author John Bieling for this work. I had a little problem when starting first synchronisation with my icloud contacts. An error message appeared in red color. I had to deactivate temporarily the corresponding personal account to icloud (un check checkbox). Then, I reactivate the account and it works like a charm. Very happy. My thunderbird adress book and icloud contacts are synchronizing at perfection.

Yeah I know, I know there is a way to work without this. But it sure as hell worked like a charm and saved me a lot of time. This is what great addons should do.
