Well after installing, I see nothing on the screen. I have Firefox version 3.5.6 so It apparently isn't tooled for this version.

The button says "add to SeaMonkey". I click it, I get an error that says I need to be running a mozilla based browser to install the IMdB search. SeaMonkey is not mozilla based ?!? What gives? Why does the button on the page say "add to SeaMonkey" when you can't add to SeaMonkey?

I highly reccommend this alternative IMDb Search add-on: ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/11690 ).

It works just as well, plus the favicon is clean and sharp, and the text is neater in the list. For minimalists/perfectionists!

IMDb is my one source for movie information. It may not be necessary, but it does cut down on time for getting to the site when someone asks me about a movie or I want to search for one.

Not sure what Dimitrakopulos problem was with the add on, but it works well and it is for a specific site that I use.

What the f*** is the big fuss about this unnecessary plug-in or something? This is Firefox, you can already add any search-box you encounter in the internets.

I was reading all the reviews, and didn't see any different thing it does than to let you use the search-box of IMDb through your Firefox search-box.

Well guess what, there's an extension called Add to Search Bar, and I use that for every site whose search-box I use frequently.
You just right-click in the box and go "Add to Search Bar.."

I, for example, just type "d" and type whatever I'm gonna search after a space.

This is Firefox we're talkin about here people, you don't need an extra add-on for every search-box you use often and wanna add.

I've been using IMDB since the dawn of time, it's a great site.

As to the reviewer that says "what's the difference between the plugin and just bookmarking the site?" Convenience, but that applies to all of them. A brain is a terrible thing to waste.

Thank you for this add-on! I use IMDb to search for movie summaries, actor profiles etc., so it's really convenient when I'm reading a blog and a movie/actor of interest is mentioned.
Also, great to use when playing movie-mashup on MSN ;)

The plug-in works = 5*

I use IMDB almost every day, my family and I watch lots of movies together. IMDB is a nice way for me to check MPAA ratings quickly before I go to the video store.

This plug-in lets me open several windows and do multiple searches at once. Instead of opening a few windows, typing in imdb.com in each one then searching.

I keep Mozilla-Google as my home page so I just hit home for Google.

I use this search tab more than any others in FireFox.

It adds an IMDB search option on the top right of your browser for quick searching without having to go to the IMDB site.
