It was great while it lasted. I can see the developers have made it difficult (impossible) to port this for Thunderbird 115+ "SuperNova".

I have written some CSS for my userChrome.css to at least change the priority text to icons, but selecting in the CSS what priority a message has is problematic.

There is no explicit HTML Tag Attribute in the HTML/XUL for the message thread list that indicates the priority anymore. Each row in the message thread does have an attribute named "data-properties" ***NO, the attribute is "aria-label" *** (sorry!) attached to it, and that attribute does have the name of the priority in it. But this attribute also has the message subject in it, and the message subject could easily have the same words in it. And are the priority names LOCALIZED for language/region??? So searching for the priority in this attribute is not fool-proof.

I have submitted a bug report (enhancement request) explaining this (Bugzilla Bug #1884544)

Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for your nice work. the idea behind this Add-on is very good.
Fact is, that standard messages marked important don't catch the eyes.
This extension makes them much more visible. I like it very much.

Now, TB78 comes again as a "killer" for almost every add-on...

Please, once you can have time for it, please rewrite it for this new TB-version!

Many thanks!

Alex

I am very sad that this add-on no longer works in 78.2.2. I really miss it and hopefully it will be available again real soon

I was fiddling with my columns and wishing that the Priority could fit in with Starred and Junk as icon width, and so I just searched Priority here in the add-ons, and here was EXACTLY what I wanted, except it was even better! Can't live without it now.

I have tb 24.1.1 and donsen't work. It's incompatible or I need configure it? Thanks

Define "doesn't work." It has many bits of functionality; which of them do you have enabled, and are any of them working?
Do you have version 1.3 of the add-on? There are fixes in that version for newer Thunderbird versions.
Are you using a non-standard theme? If so, try disabling the theme and seeing if that makes Enhanced Priority Display start working again.
This is not the best place for support requests since we can't correspond. There's a link to my email address on the add-on page.

Works perfectly on Ubuntu 13.04 and Thunderbird 17.. Excellent. As noted, Account colours add-on needs to be disabled first. But this is a far more important addon!! Thanks again!

Thank you so much for this module ! It kills a critic we get from users migrating from Outlook to Thunderbird ! Because it's not so obvious, I recommend to look at the preferences of the module, in our case to disable the red or blue and withe background on the whole line of the mails where a priority is defined, to avoid the problem of the not very readable selection of "prioritized" mails.Thank you again,Vincent.PS: it's works nicely in TB 17 for Linux, which is not the case of another module, Priority Switcher

This add-on finally introduces a clearly recognizable way of highlighting high priority e-mails in Thunderbird: bold red exclamation marks - as it has been common for decades in other e-mail clients like Outlook Express.

I installed it and it worked straight away. One particular thing I would correct is when you single click on the email then the font in the line with subject, from, to etc is going white so it is hard to see which email is currently highlighted. Fortunately you can disable the stripped red-white background and font comes to black color so on the emails list the selected email is again highlighted in dark blue color. That is the reason I give it only 4 stars. Correct it and you will get 5 star from me :) Besides that - addon does what is supposed to do.

Reply to the author: I have seen higlighting emails with different colors (in yellow, red, whatever) in other addons, check XNote for instance. Fix shouldn't be that difficult .. I hope..

I know about that issue, but I can't fix it properly without the Thunderbird maintainers first making a fix to the core Thunderbird code.
