Great! Exactly what I needed. And yes, English only.

Works good, but it's not for everyone, as it only searches English Wikipedia. I would like to be able to search in more than one language...

Thanks for your works! I just edit the search URL into .jar file. But additional locale would be great. I'm not experience in programming and cannot add locale by myself. If i could see example....

If you can translate them and let me know what the name of the locale that you want is, I can add it to the extension. You can find my email address on my website (www.lordofthemoon.com).

It's simple and does what it's supposed to do: It adds a "Search Wikipedia" command to FF's context menu that opens a new tab with the Wikipedia article (if it exists) for the highlighted text.
I just wish it showed the results in a foreground tab, or at least had that as an option. Presumably, if you want to look something up, you also want to see it. :?|

Found that this seemingly was the culprit that was causing me to lose my Toolbars in Firefox 22 through 23.0.1 (and possibly earlier). Loved the app's function, however, but regretfully I had to uninstall it. Hopefully, the problem will be resolved, whatever it is! (Sorry about putting bug here. Please forgive.)

It all seems to work as I expected, unless you meant something else?

This does exactly what I wanted it to: let me look something up in Wikipedia with just a click in the context menu. I don't have to go up to my search box on the menubar, select Wikipedia, type something in, etc. This is way faster and satisfies my tangential curiosity. There was an article in the news this morning about someone who'd caught the Plague... "hmm, I know that was flea-borne, but can it be airborne?"...two clicks and I'm off to Wikipedia. Perfect!

This works great for me. Would be even better with the possibility of selecting the language of the Wikipedia article (maybe by adding the desired languages right in the general options, so that they always appear in the context menu).

There used to be a similar add-on that the developer stopped supporting (since FF4). I have really missed it.
When reading a web page, I often want to look up something in Wikipedia, _without_ interrupting the flow of what I'm currently reading, i.e., I want the look-up to happen in the _background_, so I can read the wp article at a later stage.
There are a number of add-ons that look up Wikipedia, but none of them (as far as I know) do it in a background tab. All the others I have tried interrupt (visually) the page you are currently reading.
Thanks for this. Hope you keep it updated to be compatible with future releases of Firefox.

Works well in Firefox 3.6.3. Very happy with this, it's a simple yet effective way to access wikipedia from the Right button context menu.
