I have no idea how is it not an integrated part of of Thunderbird yet. Must have to r-t-l languages!

This is in great part due to internal trouble - as I see it - in the governance of the project, which translates into a failure of the needs of large groups of users to factor into resource allocation in development work. Again, IMHO.
