Thanks for updating this to v52. Would be great if it could be made compatible with version 60 too.
Increasing the version number does not help - as switching tabs is broken.

Unfortunatly the old XP and Vista code that made that addon possible has been removed and it would a big job and stupid job to reinsert it !!

If you increase the max version in install.rdf it seems to be still compatible with v52 with a few glitches I noticed in addons manager

I just edited the install.rdf in the xpdefault.xpi in order to get my colorful icons back... changed the line <em:version>45.0.9</em:version> to <em:version>45.2.0</em:version> and TB accepted.
So far no errors found on using TB. Thanks!

BTW, no bug report, just a workaround for those that can't wait for a regular fix and know how to edit the contents of the .xpi...:-)

Oh, and: changing this:
<em:maxVersion>45.*</em:maxVersion> to p.ex. <em:maxVersion>49.*</em:maxVersion> makes future TB upgrades valid as wel. Now let's hope there aren't any incompatibilities in this future code...

I still don't understand why people are sooo bewildered of those ugly black-and-white icons. I see color so I want color.

I see the same problems written by "Fred Flintstone" and I would be very happy if the problems wre solved, especially the header input fields - thank you AlainMop!

I like this theme a lot, and am glad that someone decided to resurrect it for the latest version of Thunderbird. However, there's a few problems I found with this update:
- Past-due tasks don't change colors any longer
- Tasks don't show the check mark column any longer
- Tasks don't show the priority icon any longer
- When writing an e-mail, the header input fields are not shown as input capable
- In the calendar, the checkmarks for selecting which calendar(s) to show are missing
There may be other issues, but these are the ones I noticed immediately.

Nur mit diesem Theme werde ich den Thunderbird weiter nutzen. Hoffentlich schaffen die Entwickler es, mit Mozillas konfuser Update-Praxis Schritt zu halten.

Hi MoziLover.

Thank you for your interest in xpDefault. As stated in the description, xpDefault won't be updated for Thunderbird 45, as I am now fully focused on our local community duties. In case there is anyone who would like to take the theme over and maintain it for the next releases, I would be glad to add it as the theme owner.

As an alternative, there are two other themes - https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/classic-tb2/ and https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/noglass/ you might want to try.

Much easier to work with than the default! Any chance it could be extended to Lightning too?

As the number of users is growing, there are more request for Lightning support - so it's planned for the next TB major release, maybe earlier. ;-)

In my opinion, this is easily the best theme for TB17. It has just the right amount of colour, and is much better than the bland, default TB17 skin. The attention to detail by the developer is excellent. It is tasteful and restrained, with very good mouseover effects on the icons. Perfect in every way! Thanks.

To be honest, xpDefault is not my job. I've just taken and reused the "classic" default theme for Windows XP, which is present in TB installation as well as the "Aero" one.

Still, I am very pleased you like it. :-)

Thanks to Michal for keeping this add-on current and updated. Several Thunderbird themes were broken by TB17, but this one is going strong as ever. Much appreciated!

Thank you for your appreciation. Unfortunately xpDefault have also lost some user because of it's two or three days incompatibility. But now it's almost ready for TB18 too.

Great theme, it saved my life when TB switched to the ugly new look. The only thing missing is Lightning support. Maybe in a future version?

I see there just cosmetic difference (mostly dependent directly on the OS dialog rendering). The only reason could be buttons, which are colored on WinXP.
I'm sorry for disappointing you - Lightning support is not planned now. Thank you for your comment.

Just switched to TB 10 because TB 3 will be unsupported soon. This addon does what it has to do.
