Hi Wing,

Please immediately update the RSS Editor for Firefox Latest Versions.

It's a very useful tool for my update my RSS Feeds details.

Please provide us the latest versions and should work on the latest Firefox versions.

I can confirm it works after applying the patch provided at http://www.mozdev.org/pipermail/rsseditor/2009-February/000031.html

To those who asked: to apply the patch, download the RSS Editor xpi, change its extension to .zip and extract it. Enter the chrome folder and rename the rsseditor.jar file to rsseditor.zip, and then extract it (make sure its contents end up in the chrome folder itself, not an rsseditor subfolder). Now go back to the first folder you extract and (in the terminal) run

patch -p1 < /path/to/patchfile.patch

Now zip up the contents of the chrome folder and rename the newly created archive to rsseditor.jar, then delete any remaining files. Now zip back up all the package contents and rename the archive so that its extension is .xpi again.

Now, to install it, just drag your patched xpi to the Add-ons window. You’re done.

This was my favorite RSS editor until Firefox 3 came along.
How exactly do you use the patch? I can't figure it out.

I use Bob's patch. Works like a charm!

Pour ceux qui cherchent encore, j'ai trouvé une manip (en français) pour installer le patch de Bob sur le forum Geckozone. Et cela fonctionne. http://www.geckozone.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=73290&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Does anyone know of a standalone tool I can use to replace this plug-in? I don't see any sign it will be updated and I want this function while using firefox 3.x.

No matter what I do I cannot get the feeds to validate. You only get one chance at feeds and if they wrong they are not picked up ever by feed distributers
