Great add-on but seems not to work with Hotmail accounts :(

No longer seems to work with microsoft. Works fine with Google and iCloud contacts however. But no matter how many times I try and no matter how many times I re create an app password on (outlook.com, live.com, office365.com), I cannot get it to validate.

Estoy usando Cardbook 84.9 en Thunderbird 102.9 y no me sincroniza los contactos de GMX. Para sincronizar GMX utilizo el protocolo carddav porque el contenido en Cardbook no me funciona. ¡Muchas gracias por tu labor. Con la version anterior de Thunderbird si funcionaba la sincronizacion de contactos GMX.

CardBook is a robust solution if you want to have CalDav and CardDav functionality centralized. I like Distribution Lists very much. Support via GitLab is great and responsive...

If you're tired of waiting for Mozilla to add "reasonably functional" Address Book, then CardBook is the answer. It excels in every way and provides much greater capabilities and works well with CardDAV. You can also vote to have it replace Mozilla's built-in.

So much better than the built-in CardDAV support. If you have any need for more than the basics (i.e. support for contact groups), this is the add-on for you.

Great add-on. It was Cardbook that made me decide for Thunderbird.
Two wishes:
- a better cooperation with the Thunderbird Conversations add-on
- a possibility to decide about the font size. The fonts appear very small on my Linux computer.

I have two problems with card book
does It need VPN to sync! In Iran?
Editing note of a contact, duplicate the contact!
no need of a VPN, sync is done like you access to internet...
I've not understood the other issue... do not hesitate to contact me directly here : cardbook.thunderbird(at) gmail.com. Greetings to iranian people and wish you the best for 2023 ;) !

So far so good! Installation and sync with my Google Contacts was fast and easy. Thank you!
Thunderbird does not seem to support labels or stars on contacts yet, so those didn't import. I do hope that will come along soon in one way or another.

Great product and ideal for sorting messy address books and syncs with Google Contacts easily. After Thunderbird upgrade to 102, it was the only add-on I could find that managed duplicate contacts. Recommend it to anyone who is a converted Thunderbird user. Philippe also provieded fantastic support very rapidly.

Installed Cardbook long ago on my computer and laptop and they were working.
Reinstalled my laptop's Windows as as well as TB, then installed cardbook but cardbook is unable to run.
Both computer and laptop are on the same TB 102.5

Edit : CardBook is now compatible with BitDefender

A chaque démarrage Cardbook redemande le mot de passe de mon carnet d'adresse CardDAV.
J'ai essayé sur linux et windows, et ce avec avec deux comptes CardDav différents.
Le message c'est :
"Saisissez le mot de passe pour ****.******@*****.com sur https://*********/addressbooks/***********/96efef44-d006-47b6-8beee-9d4b4854d084/
"
J'ai essayé de supprimer et de remettre le carnet d'adresses en mettant l'adresse complète, mais ça ne change rien.

Works fine, has a lot of well thought out features, syncing with nextcloud per carddav works without problems as well!
