Addon 5 Sterne, Thunderbird Developer 0
Wenn sie nicht in der Lage sind, die Funktionen eines solch guten und beliebten Addons zu implementieren, sollten sie es zulassen.
Also zurück zu alten Versionen

Forget it. The developers have lost interest in this add-on and won't update it to handle newer versions of TB.

This is a good extension. But the incompetent developers at Mozilla break compatibility every time.

This is indispensable. Had to downgrade Thunderbird from 115 to 102 to keep using it.

Incompatible with TB 115... :(

This is an amazing add-on!

Could it be made to work for the Thunderbird for Android / K-9 Mail?

One of the most useful addon out there! It really needs an update for the latest version! I know I can program/make my own workaround, but this one worked perfectly well and I'd love to keep using it :)

Until this can be updated to work with TB 115 there is a work-around using the FiltaQuilla Extension.
In the FiltaQuilla Preferences select:
Filter Actions -> Run Program
Search Terms -> Folder Name.

Use a program such as Fmedia https://stsaz.github.io/fmedia/ to play the alert .wav files.

Example:
Assume all files are installed in C:\Alerts and you have alert files Alert1.wav, Alert2.wav, ...

Create Alert.cmd containing the line
fmedia.exe %1

Create a shortcut to Alert.cmd for each wav file e.g. for Alert1.wav:
Alert1.lnk
Properties
Shortcut -> Target: C:\Alerts\Alert.cmd Alert1.wav
-> Start in: C:\Alerts
-> Run: Minimized

Test this by running the Alert1 shortcut. You should hear Alert1.wav.

In Thunderbird, set message filters on folders as required e.g.
Tools -> Message Filters -> New...
Apply filter when:
Getting New Mail
Match all of the following:
Folder Name is Inbox
Perform these actions:
Run Program C:\Alerts\Alert1.lnk

Its pretty much my Favorite Extension, unfortunately it does not work with the recent Thunderbird version 115, that Supernova really killed it...

I love this extension, but it doesn't work with Thunderbird 115. Thanks

Mailbox Alert v0.30

This is a really good extension.

Using this I was able to set-up my Betterbird v102.14.0 so that I wouldn't get a sound alert on new Junk email arriving but I would get a sound alert when new mail arrived in my Inbox. This is really good as I was mightily hacked-off with Betterbird giving a sound alert on Junk mail being received. You can even set things so that specific Thunderbird/Betterbird folders play different sounds when new mail arrives in them.

Setting up the Mailbox Alert is a little bit fiddly depending on what you want it to do but once you get over that hurdle it really is set it up then forget about it.

Very happy with the extension. Would very much recommend.

Works well on Thunderbird 102.10. In fact only addon and settings combo that allows good end result with Message Filters so that Inbox has default sound and subfolders (where filters move less inportant bulk e-mails) are silent.
For that, sound alert should be disabled in Thunderbird settings and also no mailbox alerts directly on folders but ony in message filters the last filter is performing single action as Message Alert with sound so it triggers after inbox is cleared of lower priority e-mails. Other methods did not work because usually sound alert seems to be generated moments before filters could move the e-mails out of inbox to subfolders.
