There seems to be a huge amount of sophistication for some specific fields (date, to, and from) but… is there only one configurable template per use-case ? I was expecting to be able to program a catalog of canned responses, choosing one of many (like some other extensions around). It looks like in each scenario (new message, response,…) there is one and only one template.
Arbitrary variables (prompting the user for a value) are missing too, not to mention values recovered in a remote system/CMS.
Translations are incomplete, and windows need to be enlarged in some cases to see whole.
Hello, thanks for your detailed review = you probably haven’t discovered external templates, they can be found on the smarttemplates menus (both in the unified toolbar button and in the message action tools above preview area) you will find menus for write /reply etc. and a configure menu items…. Entry. This brings you to the setting where you can add many html files as templates, i have over 100 configured on my profile. These used to be dropdowns attached on the reply / write buttons but Tb doesn’t allow this modification anymore, so they all are on the SmartTemplates buttons. The concept of external templates a.k.a. Stationery, is explained here: https://youtu.be/HhnA3RbOgIw?si=68pGz98OIaA7FBwH
For the other items please reach out directly via the support tab or the support webpage, from where you can mail me directly. As regard localisation, which language is missing translations, and where? I am trying to support 21 languages but it is not easy after Babelzilla closed down.
As regards CMS integration, i am interested to hear more; maybe raise a feature request issue on the Github: . https://github.com/RealRaven2000/SmartTemplates/issues
