Quicktext

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been using Quicktext for so many years, and then the support from the original author (Hesslow) went to a trickle and then dried up completely, even though it was pay-ware and I was paying for the Pro edition every year for years.

And now I find it's been in open source since 2015!!!!! Why didn't anybody tell me?!?!?!?! O.O

Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!!

I've seldom been so happy about an addon - Thank You!!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.15).  This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Enhanced Date Formatter

4.75 stars actually, but...

So exactly what I wanted xD

The only thing I could wish would be to have time zone abbreviations.

Extra Folder Columns

After many years of enjoying this Add-On Mozilla has finally decided to include it--or at least the exact same functionality--into the heart of TB 38.x.

Many thanks to Joey Minta and Standard8 for the years of enjoyment!

Extension List Dumper 2

I don't know if you have any influence over it, but when searching for 'extension list' (without the apostrophes) your addon cannot be found. I have no idea why the FF addon search is so crappy, but for your sake maybe you could get the folks at Mozilla to fix it.

There are two things I've encountered which I might suggest improving, and they're minor:

1. Some kind of message that when a list is generated, that it has actually been generated. Currently, it just does it (thumbs-up for that :) ), but you have to go and look for the list to know it was generated.

2. If there were an indicator on the popup saying which list will being generated, it would be more user-friendly. When on the plugins page if I click to generate a list, the popup tile is "Extension List Dumper", but seeing the word "Extensions" irritates until you read through the preview to see which list is actually being generated.

Extension List Dumper

Hi Iceberg,

yes, if you search for 'dumper' (without the apostrophes) you will find it, but nobody looking for an addon which generates a -list- of -extensions- is going to search for 'dumper'.

Searching for 'extension list' (without the apostrophes) will also not find your addon.

BTW, I'm now using your addon ;)

Iceberg has produced a corrected revival of this extension, which is officially on AMO and signed!

On TB 31.7.0 it's unfortunately not working anymore :(

I don't know how long I've been using this add-on, but very long for sure.

Please, please, pretty-please, get this to work with TB 31+ pretty-pretty-please ;_;

WTF! Really, WTF!!!!!

For such a simple add-on this is the biggest cluster-f*ck I've seen in ages.

-- Thunderbird->Tools->Add-Ons Manager said this morning (24-Aug-2015) there is an update to ELD i.e. 1.15.2.1-signed, but neither this page nor Sogame's page says anything about it. Nothing!

-- I let the update install, restart TB and check the results. Aside that the version number has changed to 1.15.2.1-signed, nothing has change; the add-on-list stays empty

-- See that somebody has taken on adding a follow-up to ELD with ELD-2. Search for ELD-2 in the site search function and even with "Extension List Dumper 2" written out the add-on is not found!!

-- Although ELD is only allowed for TB 1.5-9 my ver 31.1.2 says nothing about ELD not being allowed and still updates from 1.15.2 to 1.15.2.1-signes, which is also only allowed up to TB ver 9!!

JFC!! nothing works here from the site to the app to the add-on controls. Really, Outlook is looking better and better every day.

Finding a replacement for a dead add-on *cough*cough*Folderpane-Tool*cough* is always a joy, especially when it works.

A reviews section with 5 different languages on one page, priceless :D

I've been using this for years; the Pro version for pay with script support.

Currently, one thing after another is breaking down and not getting fixed :-(

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.11.5).

View Headers Toggle Button

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

You can also view the complete header through:
View -> Headers -> All
either in the main window or a separate message window.

Why oh why doesn't Mozilla just give us the button to save us time instead of letting us wait for weeks, months, ever for somebody else to do the work.

The Bat is getting to look better and better all the time.

Five stars because I _had_been_ using this for 3 or more years! Minus 2 stars because there's no update for TB 3.0.

Buttons!

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I've been using Buttons! for years too; how time flies. After updating TB to 3.0.4 my Buttons! 0.5.3.2 installation suddenly stopped working. A message under Add-Ons said -Does not provide secure updates-.

I re-downloaded Buttons! 0.5.3.2 (wasn't the same size as my previous download with the same version number) and re-installed and suddenly the message has disappeared and it works again.

Maybe the numbering should be changed to 0.5.3.2a ;-)
