Adblock Edge

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

You don't need that if you have the PATIENCE to disable the "non-intrusive ad" option each time after the update of adblock plus in future.

Why need to waste your precious time to change a non-trustworthy addon setting on a per-update basis?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.1-signed.1-signed).

Adblock Lite

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great implementation for restoring the usability in ABP 1.3.x (i.e. w/o any junk). However, a filter migration helper may be needed for assisting users to switch from ABP 2.0.x to adblock lite, as the filter format are not the same in 2 addons.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.2).

CheckPlaces

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent.

A great tool to clean up the bookmarks.

Its detection of web page status is quite accurate, very promising!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.6.1).

ProfileSwitcher

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very helpful for testing addon before installation in the main profile.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3).

Is It Compatible?

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

If your firefox has many addons installed, its addon manager may freeze up for several seconds before it is ready for interaction.

Memory Fox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent! Very promising performance observed.

Until Fx improves its memory management to the level for prolonged use of browser, this addon is a must!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (7.4.1-signed).

Saved Password Editor

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It just solve the problem of change of form ID of a web page. With this addon, editing the saved password is handy!

A good combintation with Secure Login.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2.6.1-signed).

RequestPolicy

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

There are some sites (e.g forum), in which requests are made from the site to various image site, allowing them 1 by 1 is just a disturbance for normal browsing, and is already too much for normal user.

In that case, a better (although compromised somehow...) alternative would be allowing request from the site, but the rules specified in blacklist (either destination or origin-to-destination) would be followed. Only with that, the user experience can be enhanced.

Also, multi-selection of site request for permission is needed to avoid the repetitive work of clicking site 1 by 1 in menu.

Thumbnail Zoom Plus

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent! I need that for instant zoom upon hover on any thumbnail. This does the job perfectly.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.8.1-signed).

Mouse Gestures Redox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Jochen, the addon developer, has made a statement that the project is discontinued on 12 Jan. 2011.
Ref: http://www.mousegestures.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=340

Just wonder if anyone will take up this project, since it is the most efficient mouse gesture addon so far, and has the highest potential indeed....

RequestPolicy

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Although it is great when used with NoScript for privacy protection and security issue, its mechanism will block all image request from other sites, which is an annoyance when you are visiting a site in which many images are hosted on different sites.

You need to trace one by one to allow the domain in order to view the images, simply clicking "temporarily allow all" is not the solution as it will allow the request from some adversting companies / static / habit tracking sites too.......

Show Password On Input

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's just an annoyance for the lack of option to display the password upon typing. It is good for you to identify the typo in case your password is very complicated.

What I only want is an option to display the Master Password, but not all password fields. So, one password rules all without a great compromise in security in combination with Secure Login.

Why are there several strange 1-star reviews at the bottom? Do they know a "cancel" button is always with the master password prompt? As clicking cancel will not have any negative effect on the password protection mechanism, unless the password is filled in, no one can access the password database.

Also, please update this for the Firefox 3.5, so more people can benefit from this addon.

Tab Scroller

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It is a great tool for quickly switching tab.
Much faster than pressing Ctrl-tab!
Excellent!

Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I don't need this crap but it just get installed after updating Microsoft .NET Framework through Windows Update with no way of easy uninstalling and appears in every profile of Firefox.

Stop pushing something towards us w/o our permission for the sake of your market share!

What a bad experience for such addon! Just wastes my time for googling to remove this completely.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).

NoRedirect

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

2 suggestions for this great addon:

1. include a pre-set rule for those "shortened" URL service.

2. implement the features of "redirect remover" inn which its development is abandoned: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/537

Then, this addon is really great at tackling all "redirects" in combination with noscript.

AutoPager

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hi, I have another question in which I find that it is not yet mentioned in your support web page regarding the new update:

"5. Add AutoPager to user agent"

May I ask about the purpose of doing so? Thanks.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.2.2).  This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.

CuteButtons

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Simply the best menu icon-adding addon.

Works well with a good support on other addons.

Really appreciate the developers' effort.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.6).

SmoothWheel

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A must-have addon for those who like to use the mouse wheel.

It is very promising and work as advertised.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.44.18.20090408.3).

CustomizeGoogle

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This addon is malfunctioning for a long time due to some changes of google layout as well as the lack of addon update to address those issues.

I finally replace the function of this addon that I need by making use of other addons I already have, and install some greasemonkey scripts & 1 more addon.

If you simply want the basic function of this addon on its edition in the google search layout, you may try GoogleEnhancer: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6435

Bookmarks Synchronization

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I am hoping this feature for a long long time.
