Just the addon I was looking for. Unfortunately it doesn't always detect phone numbers properly, and the extension seems to be completely non-functional in Thunderbird. If the author could fix these two issues, it would be 5 star-worthy.

This is a perfect compliment for Skype users and is superior to the Skype add-in. The Gmail issue listed below by zzantozz is still bothersome but at least there is a right-click workaround. Would be great if this add-on is modified to work with the 'Gmail/Call Phones' feature (i.e. GoogleVoice for Gmail). Nice work thus far!

I'm using Telify with Skype, and it works pretty well. I give it a 4/5 for the following deficiencies:
- it can take more than a few seconds to find and linkify phone numbers in a page, but that could be because some of the pages I tested it on have a lot of content that took quite some time to load,
- in cases where links are auto-opened in a new tab, such as when clicking a phone number in gmail, it doesn't properly add the +1 prefix required by Skype for US numbers, so you can't click to call the number, though the right click menu will still allow you to call it correctly, and
- as pointed out by another review, it requires a minimum of two clicks to make a call.

I think my second and third points could be corrected with a bit more in the configuration, like a default country code and a "one-click call" option. Contrary to the review by roybragg on 3 Nov, Telify doesn't cause any gmail problems for me, and it seems to detect phone numbers in gmail as well as anywhere else.

It works like a charm, but it causes GMail to crash. I have to disable it to use Gmail, so that's a big strike against it. Fix that and I'll give it 5 stars.

I like particularly the click on middle button that composes automatically the number, without auxiliary menu. I use it with an URL pointing on a script in perl that reformates most of the number if needed.

It works perfect. I've used it with Salesforce + Skype for a year. It's been so useful to me. Thanks!

Thanks, works well with eyebeam. but could recognize a wider variety of ways phone numbers are written.

Any chance of a TBird version?

Great addon - especially the possibility to build a custom URL which I use to dial with my Snom via the URL interface. Would be great if this add-on would be available for the Thunderbird address book also :-)

Didn't recognize most numbers.
The ones that were, could not be called as skype did not accept them and came with an error message.
Pity.

I thought I liked it. Now I don't. I'm using the latest version of FF and just installed this because the Skype button does not work with newer versions of FireFox on certain websites.

So, I'm glad to be able to make the numbers clickable again but I hate the fact that it's 2 extra clicks for Skype to dial it. When you click on the number, a small menu comes up asking you how you want to dial it.

Suggestion - Make it so you have the option of automatically using Skype for ALL numbers when it is clicked. I hate the extra menu and extra clicking.

I can not get this to work on Windows 7. I click on the number and it spins for a sec but goes no where. I have checked and rechecked the settings in X-Lite set up but no joy. Is there a setting in Windows that needs to be tweaked?

Fabulous app. Works like a champ and is so easy to use. Please make sure you set up the preferences first to work with your telephony application. Thank you Michael!

Thanks Micheal for your help it works great! Recommend to anyone who would like to dial direct from web browser. Forget about the rest of the other apps on here. I tried them all and they are crap. This is the only one that works. Enjoy!

Seems to be a problem with the latest Firefox. I've downgraded to Telify 0.4.x without success. Phone numbers are still recognized but the context menu for dialing is missing.

This is a great add-on and it worked flawlessly until the last firefox or telify update. Now I cannot find it in my list of add-ons and when I try to reinstall it, it doesn't show up. Hopefully I can get this fixed.
