BrowseInTab supports a global chrome font size and UI elements (folder and message lists, toolbars, tabs, icons) zoom setting, in addition to per tab or global content (messages, web sites, system pages) zoom setting. Compatible with Tb 78+.

Was great. Stop complaining about it being gone. Research and fix the problem yourself.

See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1198055

"Use the userChrome.css file for both Thunderbird and Firefox on my Linux boxes, since support for this add-on in Linux was dropped some time ago.

Create a folder in your Firefox profile named chrome

In this folder, create a text file named userChrome.css

In that file place the following code:

/*
* Do not remove the @namespace line -- it's required for correct functioning
*/
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* set default namespace to XUL */

/*
* Make all the default font sizes 9 pt:
*/
* { font-size: 9pt !important; }
Obviously, edit that font-size: 9pt !important; to a value that suits you. I generally use the same point size as was selected in the OS's desktop settings. You can also set the font face here, e.g.

/*
* Make all the default font sizes 9 pt:
*/
* {
font-size: 9pt !important;
font-family: Arial !important;
}
A similar file named userContent.css in the same chrome folder can be used to set the size of the content of webpages (and of email if used with Thunderbird.)"

I have been using T&FSC for years but not having it work with each new version of TB is really annoying. Why can't you guys make it a integral part of TB? I have to use an older version of TB because T&FSC won't work with the latest version (68.6.0). Without T&FSC, the font size is so small that I need the Hubble Telescope to see it!

Very useful, I wish I had found this years ago when slim addons manager was wiped out by an update. This is even better because it works everywhere so I can seel all my folders and much more of my message list. (except the email preview pane-still looking for how to set the default zoom/font for that)

5 stars if it could zoom to less than 100% (we are not all visually challenged - some of us are challenged by the awful white spaces in the pages!)

I do not understand why TB is so stubborn to incorporate this Theme Font and Size changer to become an integral part of the software. How come TB can't do it. Furthermore, why all this lack of response to the requests and comments made by contributors that with each and every update, this add-on does not work? Isn't it time you respected us - the users - and found a solution?

Please incorporate
"Theme Font & Size Changer for ThunderBird"
in version 68.6.0 or build and apply a patch to enable it for all revisions 68.0 plus going forward.
Another idea would be great is to incorporate it within the Tools/Options/ Drop-Down under General or Display
providing jus the ability to change Font and Size for the
displayed text within the panes for listing Folders and Messages ( Inbox/Sent/etc,etc. )
Many of us senior users of Mozilla for decades wearing glasses
are having a hard time with the small font size.

Many thanks for all the great work.
Stay Safe and Shelter in place.

Regrettably TB refuses to make the simple code changes to make the font size in initial screen adjustable.
Also regrettable the the dev. for Theme & Font Size Changer has thus far ignored please from the users to make that compatible with TB 68.6 .... Although some of us offered to contribute for the work.

Mozilla has recently updated Thunderbird to 68.3.1.
The "Theme & font size" add-on is now not compatible with this version.
Can you say when this will be updated as its a great Add-on !

Strange that you can't set font sizes without using an add-on
Mozilla should really have this option as a user option.

This user has 3 previous reviews of this add-on.

When will Theme and Font Size Add On be fixed. Mozilla should really have this option as a user option.

ATTENTION to users of TB 68 or newer. For your custom styles to work you need to set " toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets" preference setting in "Options/Options/Config Editor..." to TRUE. (And you do not need this extension if you know CSS a bit.)

Please fix so it will work with 68.2.1. I have to use a magnifying glass to read my emails. Thank you

This is a must-have for me. Works great on 60. But when I tried the latest update, I was back to unchangeable mice type everywhere. So I had to go back to 60. Please update for 68+! This is a great add-on.

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

How long has 60+ been out? Don't you hate it when devs just plain IGNORE users and aren't even polite enough to say "I'm aware of it and an update will happen in the near future" or some such thing? My god. And someone is questioning why people are posting one star reviews. Well yes, it does NOT work any more. This is really more an issue with the devs of Thunderbird that we even have to use an app like this to "make things right" in Thunderbird. Tbird team needs to get their head together and make it possible to actually SEE the subject lines of mails in the list or make it possible to change the size in the program without using a third party app. Holy cow, it's just deplorable you can ignore such a basic function.

This didn't work. I couldn't find a way to change anything in either Firefox or Thunderbird.
