Thank you for the quick fix. It's great that the problem was quickly identified and resolved, but when I had no clue what the issue was I went to your website and there was no information at all that there was an issue. It would have helped if you had something on your home page that said something like "There's currently a problem with the latest Thunderbird update. We're working on it and will let you know here when it's fixed, but in the meantime, rollback to the previous version of TB to restore your accounts." That would have saved a LOT of frustration.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.3).

Sorry for your frustration. Due to multiple circumstances which could be attributed to Murphy's Law, we were unable to do what you suggested.

For next time: If the accounts simply disappear entirely, it's almost always an incompatibility between Thunderbird and Owl versions. (We could make a support article stating that, that's a good idea. So far, this has been a rare occasion.) We never deliberately hide the accounts, even if your license expires or in error situations that we can control. It's always a bug, and you can assume that we're on it. We're very much interested in fixing it ASAP.

I'm glad that the fix works for you. Again sorry for the confusion and troubles.

Work as expected, and even when there are breaking changes in TB you're fast in fixing it.
Thanks !

Downloaded new owl.xpi. Add-on manager in Thunderbird tells me install date is today, but version nr is still 1.2.2, so not 1.2.3.
This version does not work for me. Not able to login to office365 exchange. Undefined error

Mr Mojo's fix worked for me, back on and working now.

I love this program, aside from the one borked update it has been amazing, and I found the fix on here in about 2 minutes. Love Owl!

Borrowing this from MaxBurn's review in case it gets buried:

@mrmojo @educ - where do find the file webapi/webaccount/webaccount.js ? I searched the whole computer, but cannot find it. thanks for your help to the less tech savvy users here ;-)

Thanks for the fast fix here and the developers for the fast new release in the making.

The solution below from mrmojo actually worked for me! Just change "ReactivateAccounts" to "reactivateAccounts" in the file he mentioned and 115.3.2 works fine again!
Thank you a lot, mrmojo!

Fixed for Thunderbird 115.3.2 by changing in the file `webapi/webaccount/webaccount.js` line 1163 the function "ReactivateAccounts" to "reactivateAccounts" (uppercase removed on reactivate)

Dear mrmojo, indeed, this was exactly our fix as well. Thank you that you helped the others here while we made the release.

The cause was an unnecessary API change in the security release of Thunderbird.

Fantastic addon that allows me to use Thunderbird in my corporate Outlook-infested setting. Reviewers offering up bad ratings for this addon when Thunderbird updates break addons like Owl are being disingenuous. Owl developers have been extremely active in developing this helpful addon, and the fault of Thunderbird breaking functionality doesn't land in the hands of Owl's team, yet they are usually pretty quick with providing a fix or workaround.

A fantastic tool.

WARNING: On Ubuntu 22.04 I was NOT able to get Thunderbird 115.3.2 to work with MS Exchange Server and had to revert Thunderbird to 115.3.1 and this works fine with OWL 1.2.2

EDIT oct. 12, 20223 : With Chouette 1.2.3 it's working again. Thanks Beonex for reactivity (Download : https://www.beonex.com/owl/owl.xpi)

Employer switched to Outlook with our own domain and I just couldn't get it to play nice with thunderbird. The outlook web client is not very intuitive.
This worked pretty much instantly. The $10 a year is a very reasonable price.
Thank you so much!

Enables me to use Thunderbird in my work environment instead of having to use the Outlook web interface. The developers responded reasonably quickly to a support question I sent with excellent information. Fantastic add-on!

I've been using Thunderbird for my work (Office 365) email using OWL. Thank you.
However, I stopped being able to modify tasks that I make through Thunderbird. Whenever I try to add, edit, or remove a task I receive the following error:
Error code: MODIFICATION_FAILED
Description:
aNewEvent.startTimeZone is undefined.

I'm on Thunderbird 115 but was having the same issue on a older version (102).

This should be fixed in the next release of Owl.
