Que dire de plus à tant de ....ie ?

J'ai mis 1* car on ne peut pas mettre zéro

Je désinstalle ce truc (Thunderbird) qui est une vrai usine à gaz et retourne à Outlook ! De toutes façons on peut même pas importer le carnet d'adresse Outlook !!

Great extensions like Cardbook, contribute greatly to Thunderbird's productivity element. The author, Philippe Vigneau has been active, consistently improving it, and it shows. It just keeps getting better and better. If you are checking it out, and haven't already added it to your Thunderbird add-ons, I highly recommend that you give it a try.

That plugin takes contact handling in Thunderbird to a complete new level. Extremely usefull overall, I love the tool to handle duplicates.

The only plugin you need to manage your contacts on Thunderbird. The plugin is well maintained and updated. You can only be right if you install it!

Merci beaucoup pour cette extension qui me permet de centraliser mes contacts sur un compte Owncloud sans le moindre souci.
J'aurais une suggestion pour améliorer la gestion des catégories: j'aimerais pouvoir retirer plusieurs contacts d'une catégorie en une seule opération. On peut attribuer une catégorie à plusieurs contacts sélectionnés, mais l'opération inverse nécessite de décocher la catégorie sur chacun des contacts concernés: s'il s'agit d'une centaine de contacts, ce n'est pas très ergonomique...

Bonjour,

Bravo aux développeurs pour ce formidable add-on qu'est Cardbook.
Avec cardbook est-il possible de synchroniser un même carnet d'adresse avec un compte mail (posteo) et également avec un compte Nextcloud. Le but est qu'ils soient identiques bien sûr. Merci de votre aide !

j'y arrive avec deux comptes owncloud, si je bloque l'enregistrement des cookies pour l'URL qui a deux comptes. dans les preferences de Thunderbird... mailez moi si vous n'y arrivez pas ;O)

This addon is really fine. The user interface is quite good.
But there is a problem when syncing with owncloud (I am not sure if it is owncloud dependent or not): If I edit more than one contact (lets say three contacts) and start syncing after editing the last one, only the one which is currently selected will be correctly synced to the server. All other changes were lost: The other two contacts appear in the state before editing. The changes can not be found on the server. So you always have to press the sync button after each edited contact before you select an other one. Hopefully you will never forget this when editing. If there will be a solution this addon gets 5 stars from me.

Hi

set the debug mode and increase the log size in CardBook preferences (first tab)... retry your operations (3 modifications + 1 sync) then look at the CardBook log to see why 2 of your modifications were rejected... If you do not find, email me the log, it should be relatively easy to solve :O)

Very useful tool.

It took me a while to find out how to set up a sync account (answer: address book > new address book > remote).

I am using it to sync with posteo. This works, except for the following fields:
- Groups
- Lists
- Categories
- Gender
- Custom fields
- Role
- Department
- Internet communication accounts
- IM accounts

After I edit the remote contact, and I sync the address book, the categories I added locally for that contact disappear.

I'm using this add-on for CardDAV addressbooks and it works great! Thanks Philippe!

For now I just found 1 thing that I'd like to fix: I'd like to be able to remove the "Uncategorized" sub-item in the accounts list under each account as I don't use categories so this is just a distraction. I know I can collapse the account so it's not visible, but it'd be nice to be able to hide this altogether.

Or maybe the add-on could detect if there are any categories apart from Uncategorized and if there are none, then don't show "Uncategorized". If there are, then show them + "Uncategorized".

Bien qu'un peu complexe à mettre en service, le module synchronise tout mes contacts laposte.net (y compris les photos) avec Thunderbird.

Bonjour,
CardBook remplace efficacement le SOGO connector dans mon entreprise. serveur Davical pour les contacts et calendrier.
Malheureusement, je n'ai pas trouvé comment intégrer mon annuaire openLDAP ou AD ? Est-ce prévu ou existe-t-il une ruse ?
Merci et j'en profite pour faire un don ;)

on ne peut pas mettre des carnets LDAP ou AD dans CardBook... peut être dans les carnets d'adresses standards de Thunderbird et dans ce cas il faut désactiver dans les préférences de CardBook, premier onglet, l'option "CardBook, unique source pour les contacts"

I have been using the SOGO-connector previously to manage contacts in Thunderbird. This never worked well, particularly it synced poorly and unreliably with my cloud and other devices.
For the first time, I now have the feeling that I can use an app which not only does the job reliably, but also has all features for professional contact management (for computer beginners, it might have too many features though). It works perfectly with my Nextcloud installation, thus allowing me to store and manage my data on my own infrastructure.
I can definitely recommend this important Addon to Thunderbird which fills a big gap in the functionality of Thunderbird. @community: please help to spread, promote, support and improve this Addon !

J'ai passé ma soirée à configurer des smartphones et ordinateurs pour gérer mes contacts stockés via un serveur CardDav sur un NAS Synology et seule cette extension ne veut pas importer mes contacts... Pourtant, ça s'est très bien passé partout ailleurs (Android, Apple, Windows et osX) !

EDIT au 09.03.2018 :
Je ne sais pas pourquoi mais après plusieurs tentatives, ça fonctionne. Merci au développeur ;)

Address autocompletion works much better now, at least in Mac OSX, as it puts the most used contacts first when you compose a new mail and start filling out the recipients names.

This alone is worth 5 stars in my humble opinion.
The other features (I need to use) also seem to work as expected.
Works like a charm when connected to Mac OSX Server address book service, which is a VCard service.

If you are on a mac, I'm sure you'll find this add-on to be "the missing Thunderbird address book" that will fill an important gap compared to other clients.

Please note that all of the above is my humble opinion.
